Cold Shoulder, Pleats, Wrap Skirts, and Culottes: Spring Fashion Trends of 2016

I have never been so excited for spring fashion to finally hit the shelves. Even though warm weather is quite a long way away, that won't stop me from stopping into shops to pick up a few new pieces this coming season. There is a sense of innocence that comes with spring. I am hoping to slip out of my black and white rut and pull in some lovely pastels. Everyone needs to have a game plan before spring shopping, though. Here are just a few of the trends that have started to pop up at your favorite local shops. Designers have said " goodbye" to last spring's 60s trends and "hello" to the 70s. Here's a rundown of the biggest trends of designers for spring 2016.

There is just something so seductive yet modest about cold shoulder tops that intrigues me. I find it to be a very unique way to show a little skin but still feel covered up. Keep an eye out for lots of cold shoulder blouses, especially with bell sleeves because that's so 70s.
Pleats

Nothing says spring fashion more than pleats. (Well, maybe florals, but so what!) Pleats are a very subtle way to add some class to your outfit. Whether it's a long maxi skirt or a flowey mini, amp up any basic with this subtle yet feminine touch.
Wrap Skirts

Circle skirts have been so big these last few years, so it's time to let them going and pull to the front those 70s wraps skirts! I feel as though I never see many wrap skirts, but get ready....cause they are coming! This super cute silhouette adds great movement and texture to any outfit. It can be a subtle center piece of the look or just a basic to pair with a structured top. Any way you wear it, short or long, it will be that extra lift to your outfit that you've been looking for.

Cropped Wide Leg Pant

To keep up with the 70s vibe, this last trend is for your fashion foreword females. Culottes were huge in the 70s, so keep an eye out for some updated wide leg cropped trousers. It's a great way to add definition to a look and a great transition piece from winter to spring.
Let me know which trends you try out this spring!
