About this time of the season, I tend to start slacking when it comes to my personal style. The beginning of summer excitement ceases to exist, and most days I just end up throwing on a pair of running shorts in a t-shirt. It's quite a disgrace for someone who's favorite season is spring and who loves fashion so dearly. So I buckled down, spent a few hours scrolling through summer outfit ideas on Pinterest and summer street styles on Tumblr, and now I am back in the game. I thought it would be fitting to share a little bit of my inspiration with the world too in case you were in the same spot I was.

I'm not going to go through everything in my suitcase because that would take forever. At the end of each month I like to reflect on some of the things that made the month memorable and just the things that made my happy. It's hard to believe that February 1st I was just coming back from winter break and now I am in full swing of the new semester, with one month under my belt. It has been a stressful, exciting, busy, but worth-while time. I made a few memories, cracked a few smiles, and now I'm ready for March to come, hopefully with some warm weather too. Here are just a few favorites from the month of February.

I have never been so excited for spring fashion to finally hit the shelves. Even though warm weather is quite a long way away, that won't stop me from stopping into shops to pick up a few new pieces this coming season. There is a sense of innocence that comes with spring. I am hoping to slip out of my black and white rut and pull in some lovely pastels. Everyone needs to have a game plan before spring shopping, though. Here are just a few of the trends that have started to pop up at your favorite local shops. Designers have said " goodbye" to last spring's 60s trends and "hello" to the 70s. Here's a rundown of the biggest trends of designers for spring 2016.

Whatever you have planned for Valentine's Day this year (Unfortunately, I will probably be spending the entire day doing homework.), I find it to be the perfect excuse to wear my favorite girly pieces from my wardrobe and a whole lot of pink and red. We are beginning to enter into the dreaded snowy-winter months (because unfortunately, winter didn't feel like giving us snow on Christmas). Whether you're walking between classes or heading into town, it's really hard not to just throw a gigantic coat over leggings and a sweatshirt three sizes too big. Cold weather doesn't mean you have to throw fashion out the window. Here are several looks that are not only super cute, but incredibly warm.

Embrace the Color Cream This Winter

I just want to start by pointing out that I have been in a black obsession for the last few months. I'm not really sure how it started, but I have just accumulated so many black pieces in my wardrobe. When I do laundry, I hardly have any colors to wash other than black. I just love how it goes with everything and looks really chic. However, I would like to branch out a little bit. I know that light colors like cream seam more like a winter color, but you can really make them work in the winter if you wear them the right way. I have challenged myself to wear more light colors like cream this winter, so here is how I plan to do that.

I don't know about you, but this lovely Autumn weather just makes me want pull out all of my warm brown clothes and shadows. I have been going through a black clothing obsession for the last few months, and I think it's time to try and mix that up a bit. I have been doing a little bit of fall fashion researching, and I have found that I really like the look of a warm camel-colored pieces with black. I still get to utilize all of the black pieces I have collected into my wardrobe, but I can add a touch of fall warmth with the camel. Adding camel is a great way of softening the sleek brown and adding a more modern touch to it. Here are a few outfits I have found that I really enjoy, if you need some inspiration.

Top Three Fashion Instagram Accounts

There is just something so simple about Instagram that makes me love it so much. Though Pinterest and Tumblr are two other great social media websites that you can find incredible inspiration from, I find a lot of inspiration from Instagram as well. Autumn Threw Up on Me

Autumn leaves brings...snow? Yeah, the saying doesn't really work for this time of year, but that doesn't mean it can't still be exciting. Say hello again to layer without sweating like a fat guy at the gym, the oxblood lip that everyone has been dying to wear since it exploded into popularity last fall, and warm drinks that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside again. You aren't sick of cold weather yet, so might as well enjoy it while you still love it. With autumn, means some life changes...like clothes, makeup, and the everything else. Now, we are all aware that fall is by far the best season for fashion lovers because the cool weather allows for unstoppable layering of the cutest jackets, sweaters, button-ups, and scarfs, and pulling out your favorite riding boots, booties, and tights. It may just be the fact that I am excited to finally be able to embrace fall fashion now that I won't be wearing a uniform every day, but I just get chills of excitement thinking about it. As people always say, August is like the Mondays of the year. It sucks. It's always a sad time when July finally ends because you come to realize that your summer is ending. One thing to look forward to is fall fashion, which everyone knows is the greatest season for the true fashionista (I feel like that is such a cliché word, but I couldn't think of anything else.) Here are a just a few things I've loved this month, that I kinda think everyone needs in their life.

Something Other Than Cutoff Shorts and a Tank

Fourth of July is just around the corner (It's this Saturday for those of you who have lost track of time). You all know what that means. Crop tops showing a little too much tummy and high wasted American flag denim shorts that try to convince people they are trying to be modest by covering a little more of the tummy, but actually they rise up so high up the butt it doesn't even make a difference. This is why I have come up with a couple cute fourth of July outfits that are super light for extremely hot days, super cute, and still patriotic. Embrace your love for fashion in really cool ways this 4th.
