Lovely Things from February

 

At the end of each month I like to reflect on some of the things that made the month memorable and just the things that made my happy. It's hard to believe that February 1st I was just coming back from winter break and now I am in full swing of the new semester, with one month under my belt. It has been a stressful, exciting, busy, but worth-while time. I made a few memories, cracked a few smiles, and now I'm ready for March to come, hopefully with some warm weather too. Here are just a few favorites from the month of February.

Favorite Beauty Product: Mac Prep + Prime Fix+

This has been a go-to product for many makeup artists (and the every-day lady) for so many years, that it's hard to believe I haven't picked it up yet. I was browsing through the Mac store while shopping with my mom and I finally decided to pick up the travel size and give it a go. I never thought I would love it so much! I thought it was just going to be a product I used on occasion to intensify eye shadows or all over the face when I'm looking cakey. I've used it nearly every day since I picked it up! I have found that it is a great finishing spray to makeup, by making all of the products on your face blend together smoothly. The glycerin also helps to keep the makeup adhere to the face better, which is always a bonus.

Favorite Big Memory: Delta Gamma Bid Day

Favorite Little Memories:

-Watching Fuller House and eating Milkyway Bites one Saturday Night 

-Going to the DePauw Nature Park on a warm Sunday 

-Sitting in Starbucks working on homework one afternoon 

-Trying out the face swap with my roommate one evening

-Going to the gym and then shooting hoops at the basketball court one evening 

-Going home to visit my parents 

-Triple-overtime basketball game against Wabash (we won!)

-Frat serenades to new DG members  

Favorite TV Show: Fuller House

This one barely squeaked in the last few days of the month, but I couldn't not include it! I never really watched Full House as a kid because I was too young, but I have seen many of the episodes. I was very excited for Fuller House to come to Netflix, and I watched the entire first season the first day it was released! (I am well aware of how crazy that is.) Ever since Candace Cameron Bure (DJ Tanner) was on DWTS a few seasons back, I have been completely obsessed with her. She is the ultimate role model, and I was so excited to see her as the main character of Fuller House. It's a little cheesy, but it has some great sentimental moments, and of course so many great DJ moments.
