Independence Day Fashion

I love the obligated feeling that everyone has to wear red, white, and blue on the fourth of July. You feel some sort of connection with everyone. Today I though I would give you all a few outfit ideas for Independence Day this year.

Preppy and Casual but a Little Sophisticated

I really like this outfit. It's different than any other 4th outfit I have looked at. The white t-shirt and the navy blue high wasted shorts are sophisticated, but the American flag shirt makes it more casual and festive. (To make your own, take a basic denim shirt and use stencils and paint to make the stars and the strips.) The oversized brown bag pulls the whole look together.

Girly

If you're looking to just find something in your closet to mix together, this is the look. This is a more low key outfit, for running errands or an evening bar-b-q Pair a white tank top with a pair of loose blue shorts. Then accessorize with red pieces, like red sandals, a red necklace, and some red lip gloss to top it off.

Fancy Fourth
If you have a fancy event to go to on the 4th or you just want to dress nicer, this is the look for you. Pair a fun red and white striped dress with some blue heals and a white shoulder bag. Be a little more fun with accessories by pairing the look with some star earrings a fourth of July bracelet.

Wild and Fun

Lastly, here is a fun look for fun Independence day activities, like watching fireworks and listening to live music. Pair a fun American flag tank with some high wasted shorts and a comfy pair of wedges. Pull on an oversized knit sweater to keep warm when the sun goes down and the fireworks go up.

I hope these ideas helped you decide what to wear this Independence Day. Happy fourth everyone, and God bless America!
