Unique Pony Tails

Pony tails are my go to for bad hair days and for practices. They get your hair out of your face but they aren't always super cute. The plain old pony tail gets a little boring sometimes, so I have found a few unique ones that don't take a Esthetics license to do.

Simple Knot Pony

This look is great for crazy second day hair. It's like the messy bun of pony tails. Begin by apply a texturizing powder or spray to your hair, so that it will hold. Roughly split your hair into two sections and tie the sections together. Then take a hair tie that is a similar color to your hair and tie it around the knot. Pull out a few front pieces to frame your face.

Water Fall Braided Pony

This look is great for fancier occasions when you just want to get your hair off your neck. Apply some smoothing serum to your entire head, avoiding the roots. Start with your hair parted to one side. On the smaller side, start at the side nape of your neck and braid your hair along the bottom of your head, each time grabbing a piece from the top. Once you get to the other side of your head, pull it into a pony tail and secure it with a hair elastic.

Twisted High Pony

This hairstyle is a fun twist (pun intended) on a basic high pony. Start by pulling your hair into a high pony tail and secure it with an elastic. Then, split the pony into two sections and twist each section away from each other. Now twist the sections together towards each other. Secure the bottom with a hair elastic and smooth your roots with a serum.

Bubble Pony

This is a fun pony that's great for pulling your hair out of your face at practice. Start by pulling your hair into a pony and securing it with an elastic. Then place a elastic in your hair about an inch down from that one. Continue to add elastics until you reach the bottom. Then between each section, loosen the hair to make each section puffy. Sprits with hairspray to keep the poofs in place.

Have a lovely day,
Molly
