Step 2: Focus more on the structure of the pieces you add to the look. The key is to use the sharp or soft edges to add your personal touch. For example, wear simple white dress with a high neck line for a modern twist, a skirt with pleats for some class, or an envelope skirt that's visually appealing. These lines and edges make the look more put together. I love the modern look that a minimalistic style can have on someone.
Step 3: Color can be simple too. Just because I am obsessed with neutrals, it doesn't mean I don't like to go for a pop of color every once and a while. Add a chunky necklace to an otherwise neutral outfit, or add some fun wedges. Use the clothes as the canvas for your personal touches. However, some days, I just like to let the neutrals speak for themselves.
