How to Master the Minimalistic Look

Why do I love the minimalistic look and constantly push down your throats of the importance of it? Well, because it's so easy to achieve! You can use just a couple basics from you closet to make many really cute outfits. They are also just basics, so they are easy to find. I also find that the minimalistic look tends to give a more polished vibe if executed correctly. How do you achieve the perfect minimalistic look? Check out my three steps bellow.

Step 1: Start with a clean neutral like white, nude, grey, or black. It's like starting to paint a picture; begin with a clean canvas to work with. Use your basics to your advantage. Stock up on them to start any outfit.

Step 2: Focus more on the structure of the pieces you add to the look. The key is to use the sharp or soft edges to add your personal touch. For example, wear simple white dress with a high neck line for a modern twist, a skirt with pleats for some class, or an envelope skirt that's visually appealing. These lines and edges make the look more put together. I love the modern look that a minimalistic style can have on someone.

Step 3: Color can be simple too. Just because I am obsessed with neutrals, it doesn't mean I don't like to go for a pop of color every once and a while. Add a chunky necklace to an otherwise neutral outfit, or add some fun wedges. Use the clothes as the canvas for your personal touches. However, some days, I just like to let the neutrals speak for themselves.

That's it! Three simple steps to achieving a polished-minimalistic look.

Stay classy,
Molly
